Ananthsree Eco-Lab LLP is a research laboratory, A startup in India specializing in eco toxicology studies. It is among the first private sector initiatives in India on  environmental hazard assessment in aquatic environments, studying green algae, cyanobacteria, zooplanktons , earth worms, benthic invertebrates and fishes. The lab conducts various aquatic assessments such as Aquatic biodiversity surveys, benthic macro invertebrate surveys, fisheries studies, , mangrove survey, and water quality monitoring. Their experienced scientific team provides biological documentation and supports regulatory compliance through all project phases from planning to post project monitoring.

 Ananthsree Eco-Lab combines laboratory experiments, field observations and sophisticate measurement techniques to comprehensively assess the risks and ecological effects of contaminants in aquatic environment. Findings are translated into compliance assessments for regulatory permits ( e.g. Effluent discharge, fulfilling  obligations under REACH for specific information requirements and chemical safety assessments for chemical substances etc.),

Typical research efforts involve toxicity testing to determine safe threshold concentration, biomonitoring for ecosystem health and supporting regulatory compliance through objective data driven Aquatic hazard assessments.

We emphasize scientific accuracy and documentation led by highly qualified researchers and technical specialists.

This initiative is intended to complete a comprehensive regulatory needs/data requirements for testing and review the chemical safety. The information from our laboratory shall be used as criterion for the classification, labelling and packaging of substances as hazardous or not according to various Regulation

We shall be following Standardized test guidelines (TGs) of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), EPA guidelines and ISO guidelines are available to address the regulatory relevant endpoints of growth inhibition in algae and cyanobacteria (TG 201), acute toxicity to invertebrates (TG 202), and acute toxicity in fish (TG 203).

Area of specific attentions for Eco- Lab’s aquatic toxicology work includes

• Hydrophytes, Algal and cyanobacterial toxicity testing to assess the impacts of chemicals on primary producers.
• Benthic macroinvertebrates and earth worms studies for ecosystem health and sediment toxicity evaluation,
• Acute and chronic toxicity studies on fish and other aquatic fauna for environmental risk assessment
• Water quality monitoring paired with microbiological and biological documentation to identify emerging stressors or adverse outcomes
• Monitoring species composition and abundance helps in detecting shifts in community structure due to contamination
• Bioaccumulation studies are performed by contaminant levels in fish tissues, aquatic invertebrates, tracing the movements and magnification of chemicals through food web.
• Ananthsree Eco -lab collect field samples of water, sediment and aquatic organisms from affected areas to directly measure contaminant concentrations and ecological health.
• Ecolab assesses effects of contaminants on aquatic ecosystem primarily through a combination of controlled toxicity testing, field monitoring and analytical measurements
• Analysis of ecological impacts at different biological scale, supporting both compliance and scientific research projects
